Around Town: Third Week of April in Valparaiso Indiana

ValpoTown-5

With the weather struggling to get reliably above 40 degrees the trees are still bare and the grass is still pretty much mud. Luckily, Valparaiso has a lot to see outside of it’s fabulous parks and nature!

Here’s some of what we saw this week during a few warmer afternoons.

The Franklin House Tavern

Pat’s Ice Cream Parlor in Valparaiso Indiana

Park services building at Roger’s Lakewood Park. One of Porter County’s longest and steepest downhills is behind it, but it’s not very photogenic this early in the year.

Forest Park Golf Course

The big cow statue outside of Kelsey’s Steak and Seafood. The statue has had several homes at a variety of businesses over the years.

Water Tower. Sick of these yet?

The Boy’s and Girl’s Club Building looking particularly cinematic.

Looking South on Morgan Blvd.

Porter County Health Department Building.

You should have seen the stuff these guys were doing as I was parking. Still incredible to be able to just pull up and watch small aircraft take off and land at the Porter County Regional Airport
